Zoë joined the firm in April 2012 as a Trainee Solicitor having completed her degree at Wolverhampton University, achieving a First Class Honours degree in 2009. Zoë then went on to complete a full time Legal Practice Course which further confirmed her interest in Family Law. Zoë later qualified in 2013.

Since joining the firm Zoë has pursued her passion for Family Law further as she has successfully become a member of the Law Society Children Law Scheme and is a Children’s Panel Member. Zoë is also a supervisor within the firm.

Zoë is a valued member of staff within the Family Department dealing with both public and private law cases.

Within the private law department Zoë deals with a full range of private law matters, specialising in cases involving children and obtaining Child Arrangements Orders.  Zoë also deals with complex child arrangements disputes including any emergency applications that may arise. Zoë is also experienced in circumstances where children may be removed from the court’s jurisdiction and has specialist knowledge in relation to domestic violence situations and applying for injunctions under the Family Law Act.  In relation to public law matters, Zoë specialises in alleged serious inflicted injury cases and complex care matters. On a daily basis, Zoë helps parents all over the country who are wrongly accused of harming their children and is well known for helping parents understand the case being put against them. She is said to present her clients cases effectively within the Family Court, High Court and the Court of Appeal.

Zoë has considerable experience in the area and has formed excellent working relationships both with barristers also specialising in this line of work and with medical experts who undertake reports for such cases. Subsequently, Zoë has had much success in securing a child’s return to their parents’ care or placement with family members.

Zoë finds this area of work immensely rewarding and seeks to continue with helping families who find themselves in these difficult situations.

In her spare time, Zoë likes to keep active and enjoys taking part in charity events.   She also loves to travel.
